Financial Transparency

*Required Commitment for Bronze

Bronze Requirement:

Detailed disclosure of finances to SAI and members (not public), including the full budget for the current year and actual income and expenses from the previous year. This disclosure should match budgetary line items and include the both the total amount spent on salaries and the number of employees.

Iron Requirement:

Detailed disclosure of finances to SAI and congregation members, including the full budget for the current year and actual income and expenses. from the previous year, which includes denoting whether any board members receive compensation from the ministry.

Additionally, the congregation should be notified of any staff member(s) receiving more than 2X the home ready income limit listed by Fannie Mae and the rationale behind such large compensation packages (including housing allowance.)

Steel Best Practice: Public financial disclosure that is at least as detailed as a 990 form.
