The Safe Church Pledge includes three different levels of commitment. The higher levels provide more protection against spiritual abuse and require a stronger time commitment. The bronze level is designed to be an easy first step for churches to take toward creating safer environments, but with greater flexibility for churches that are not yet ready to commit to the more stringent standards of the Iron and Steel levels.
The 7 Bronze Requirements
The Bronze level of the Safe Church Pledge includes 7 required elements that a church or ministry must commit to.

In addition to the 7 pledge requirements above, churches and ministries taking the bronze pledge will need to commit to 5 additional pledge elements of their choosing. This means that bronze level churches will pledge to follow 12 total commitments, leaving them the ability to delay or forgo pursuing up to 4 elements of the pledge.
